Cooperating with Queensland University of Australia in the research and development of new catalytic materials and environmental protection equipment for ozone oxidation, the new catalytic materials were developed for advanced treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater. The COD removal rate reached more than 50% and the service life reached more than 5 years. The oxidation effect and ozone utilization rate were significantly improved, and the wastewater treatment effect was greatly improved. To reduce the cost of treatment and effectively solve the problems of poor catalytic effect, high ozone depletion and short service life of common catalysts in the domestic market.
In collaboration with the University of New South Wales, the project of ozone catalytic oxidation plus biofilm technology for advanced treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater was undertaken. The project combines ozone catalytic oxidation technology with bio-oxidation technology to form complementary advantages. An efficient ozone micro-nanobubble generator and solid-phase ozone catalyst are designed and developed. The effluent COD is less than 50 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen is less than 5 mg/L, COD removal rate is more than 75%, and ammonia nitrogen removal rate is more than 95%.
