PAC, PAM and the powdered activated carbon are added into the water from the wastewater treatment plant, for removing the small particles and residual organic compounds in it. And then the suspended solids, colloid, bacteria and microorganism in water are eliminated by UF+RO double-membrane system and ultrafiltration device. Most of salt and organic matters are removed after the obtained water enters the reverse osmosis device. The water produced by RO is for reuse, and thick water is thickened further by ED membrane system. Electric ion membrane EDM technology combines the ion membrane diffusion dialysis with the electrochemical process. By using ionic membrane with selective permeability, under the driving of DC electric field, ions in water flow through the ionic membrane gradually. Namely ions flow from fresh water chamber to thick water chamber gradually, but water is trapped in the fresh water chamber, so it realized the salt concentration and water separation. Strong brine concentration in EDM system ≥ 20%, is treated with MVR evaporation; weak brine concentration TDS ≤ 1%, is returned to RO system. The reuse water and solid salt are the final products of this system. It can realize the minimum wastewater quantity treated by evaporation, and use the minimum energy to eliminate the pharmaceutical wastewater discharge.
