Hydrolytic acidification is a form of wastewater anaerobic treatment. According to different growth rates of methane bacteria and hydrolytic acid-forming bacteria, anaerobic processes are used to control hydrolytic and acid-forming stages, and no methane is produced, that is, insoluble organics are hydrolyzed into dissolved organics under the action of a large number of hydrolytic bacteria and acidate bacteria; macromolecular substances that are difficult to be biodegraded are converted into small molecular substances that are easy to be biodegraded. Thereby the biodegradability of wastewater can be improved, laying a good foundation for subsequent treatments.
Hydrolytic acidification is applicable to the pretreatment of small and medium-sized organic wastewater treatment projects. For pharmaceutical wastewater, COD removal rate of biological treatment is increased to over 95% through hydrolysis acidification pretreatment, without considering biogas purification and utilization.
Morlans has mastered design and operation control technologies of up-flow, composite hydrolytic acidification reactors, and has designed and operated many sets of hydrolytic acidification reactors successfully.
